Centris Membership Eligibility
People may qualify in five different ways for membership at Centris Federal Credit Union:
1. If they live, work, worship, or attend school in the counties of Cass, Dodge, Douglas, Sarpy, Saunders, Lincoln, McPherson or Washington in Nebraska or Harrison, Mills or Pottawattamie in Iowa;
2. Commercial members qualify if they operate in the counties we serve;
3. Employees of the following companies in Grand Island (SEG program)

- Hornady Manufacturing Co. (2)
- Green Line Equipment. Inc. (2)
- Overhead Door – Nebraska Division (2)
- Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company (2)
- Union Pacific Railroad (Grand Island District, Nebraska Division) (2)
4. Spouses of persons who died while within the field of membership of this credit union; or
5. Members of their immediate families or households:
Membership eligibility is extended only to individuals who are members of an “immediate family or household” of a credit union member or person who is eligible for membership
Immediate family is defined as spouse, child, sibling, parent, grandparent, or grandchild, this includes stepparents, stepchildren, stepsiblings, and adoptive relationships.
It is necessary for the immediate family member or household member to first join in order for that person’s immediate family member or household member to join the credit union
It is not necessary for the primary member to join the credit union in order for the immediate family or household member of the primary member to join.
(1) GIA , Golden Shears, Headliner Hair Studio, Hohnstein Barbers and Rustic Razor are closed; former employees or immediate family members of a former GIA, Golden Shears, Headliner Hair Studio, Hohnstein Barbers and Rustic Razor employees are eligible to become members.
(2) Includes remote workers who are managed by these employers.
(3) Our Grand Island team welcomes new members who are employed by our SEG Employers. The only eligibility requirement is employment with the SEG company. Also, anyone who otherwise qualifies for Centris membership due to their immediate family relationship with a Centris member can become a member. For example, an employee of a SEG, who lives in Nuckles County, approximately 70 miles away from the nearest Centris branch, became a member at the Grand Island branch. So, likewise, when someone joins due to their employment with one of our SEG companies, their immediate family members instantly become eligible for membership as well. Unfortunately, Grand Island does not have a community charter, so just someone living in Hall County isn’t otherwise eligible for Centris membership unless they qualify through SEG employment or an immediate family relationship, as previously mentioned.
